Fall Fest

Fall Fest began as a special event to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Elementary. Over the years, it has grown into a beloved tradition that brings our community together for a day of fun, food, and fellowship. At Fall Fest, families enjoy an array of classic games and activities for all ages, savor delicious food from local vendors, and shop for fresh vegetables and herbs from Sister Celine's garden. This unique highlight of the event not only supports Sister Celine's garden but also offers families a taste of wholesome produce grown right on our grounds. Fall Fest embodies the spirit of togetherness and gratitude, inviting everyone in our community to join in the joy of the season.

Annual Auction

The Annual Auction is a high energy event with both live and silent auctions, dinner and entertainment. This event raises critical money for our school to support our students’ education including investments in innovative teaching tools, technology and financial assistance. Auction proceeds are vital to help our students meet the academic challenges of their future.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Saint John the Baptist Elementary shows up in force at the annual St. Patricks Day celebration in Salt Lake City each year.

Parent & Grandparent Day

On Grandparent’s Day, Saint John the Baptist Catholic Elementary is blessed to open our school to grandparents, parents and special friends to share a faith-filled, memorable day with our students. Each year we celebrate with Mass, brunch, classroom visits, activities and a book fair.

May Crowning

One beloved tradition is the May Crowning, held in the Juan Diego grotto during the first week of May. Following the second graders' reception of their first communion, students from pre-K to fifth grade participate by bringing flowers to place at Mary's feet. The fifth graders take a leadership role, creating an arch tunnel for the second graders to walk under, with the boys carrying a cross leading each grade to the grotto. The second graders then lead the entire school in praying a decade of the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary, fostering a sense of unity and devotion.

Food Truck Tuesday

Each May, Saint John the Baptist Catholic Elementary invites the popular food trucks to our school as a rite of spring passage.
