Annual Giving
Your tax-deductible donations are crucial in helping us bridge this gap, allowing us to maintain and expand our top-tier academics, athletics, and arts programs in an uplifting, values-based environment. By donating, you become a vital partner in our mission, directly impacting the lives of our students and enhancing our community.
There are several opportunities to support our Annual Giving efforts throughout the year. Giving campaigns such as our Fall Ask, Giving Tuesday, Year-End Giving, and Corporate Matching Gifts are just a few of the ways that our donors can engage in providing monetary support that goes directly to our campus schools making a difference in the classroom and the students we serve.
Make a Difference Today
If you are interested in making a difference and supporting our campus schools, please contact Carrie Lentz, Director of Advancement at [email protected] or 801-984-7682. Your support ensures that we can continue to offer excellence in every aspect of our educational offerings.
Maximize the impact of your monthly or annual contributions through employer matching programs. Many companies match employee donations as well as parent volunteer hours! Ask your employer if such employee benefits exist and what steps you can take to double or even triple your donation through corporate matching gift programs. Our campus schools actively seek grants and in-kind donations from corporations and foundations and in doing so, foster partnerships between businesses and our academic programs. In addition to matching gifts, Employers often provide United Way Giving as a benefit to their employees. Donors may designate The Skaggs Catholic Center as part of their annual United Way pledge. Please note our number 374686 on the pledge form. For more details on Corporate Matching Gifts, contact Carrie Lentz, Director of Advancement at [email protected] or 801-984-7682.
Honor a special occasion, such as a birthday, or pay tribute to a loved one with a donation. In lieu of traditional gifts or flowers, contributions can be made to celebrate or remember someone special. Our Advancement Office will send a personalized card to the family acknowledging your thoughtful donation in memory or honor of that someone special at your request. For more details, contact Carrie Lentz, Director of Advancement at [email protected] or 801-984-7682.
Invest in the future of the schools of the Skaggs Catholic Center by establishing an endowment. These funds can be permanently restricted, allowing earnings to accumulate each year, or temporarily restricted, giving the school flexibility to use both earnings and principal. Families have the opportunity to create a named endowment for a specific purpose during their children’s tenure, creating a lasting legacy upon graduation. See a full list of our current endowments at the Catholic Foundation of Utah for each of our campus schools SJBE, SJBMS, JDCHS and Guardian Angel Daycare. For more details, contact Carrie Lentz, Director of Advancement at [email protected] or 801-984-7682.
The Skaggs Catholic Center Schools hosts at least one major fundraising event each year in the form, of our annual campus-wide Auction in addition to community nights where local businesses give back a percentage to our school with our support. Please see our calendar and weekly parent communications for these upcoming and supportive events!
Donations of goods help cut annual costs on our campus and are greatly appreciated. Have a piano you no longer use, or an excess of copy paper, color paper, or art supplies, or something else that our schools could use? Consider making an In-Kind donation! Each of our campus schools have wishlist needs and with your support we can bridge the gap. Additionally, our students campus-wide will also conduct periodic canned food and clothing drives for charity throughout the school year. Questions on making an In-Kind donation? Contact Carrie Lentz, Director of Advancement at [email protected] or 801-984-7682.
