Daily Prayer

The practice of prayer is woven intimately into the life of the students, faculty, and staff daily: at the beginning of class, as a whole school community at the beginning of reading break, and even through quiet moments of reflection when stopping in the Chapel.

Adoration

On the first Friday of every month during the school year, the Chapel at Juan Diego Catholic High School opens its doors for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. This cherished tradition invites students, faculty, and staff to come together in a communal experience of silence and peace. Adoration provides a unique opportunity for members of our school community to pause amidst their busy lives, reflect, and connect with God in a serene and sacred space. This shared time of quiet contemplation fosters a sense of unity and spiritual renewal, strengthening the bonds within our community as we collectively seek moments of grace and tranquility.

Sunday Sunset Rosaries

In the fall, each Sunday, the Juan Diego Catholic High School community gathers in the serene Mother Teresa Prayer Garden to pray the Rosary together. This cherished tradition allows us to unite in a special way within the rich heritage of Catholic prayer. As we recite the Rosary, we ask Mary, our Mother, to intercede on behalf of our community, bringing our collective hopes, struggles, and gratitude to her Son, Jesus.

This communal prayer not only deepens our spiritual connection but also strengthens our bonds with one another. It is a time of reflection and solidarity, where students, faculty, and families come together in faith, supporting each other through shared devotion. The Mother Teresa Prayer Garden provides a peaceful backdrop for this sacred practice, enhancing the sense of unity and spiritual growth within our community.

Liturgies and Sacraments

Holy Eucharist

As a community, we celebrate Mass both in small, intimate gatherings, as well as in large all campus settings. Whether it is a morning Mass in the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe, or our Mass of the Holy Spirit in the gym, we celebrate the sacrifice of the Mass frequently on Campus. Students and faculty alike sing together and pray together.

Confession

Our Chaplain plays a vital role in the spiritual life of Juan Diego Catholic High School, always being available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This availability provides students with a constant opportunity to seek spiritual guidance, forgiveness, and peace through this sacrament. By offering the Sacrament of Reconciliation, our Chaplain ensures that students can regularly experience God's mercy and grace, which is central to our Catholic faith.

Whether during designated times or by appointment, our Chaplain's open-door policy for Reconciliation allows students to address their spiritual needs in a supportive and confidential setting. This sacrament not only fosters personal growth and healing but also reinforces our commitment to nurturing the faith life of each student. Through the Chaplain's compassionate presence, students are encouraged to develop a deeper relationship with God and live out their faith with renewed strength and purpose.
