JDCHS is pleased to present our NINE National Merit Scholar Semifinalists for the Class of 2027.

Becket Evans, Maxwell Myers, Tyler Lengerich, Seamus Arndt, Leila Harline, Christiana Cortes, Arabella Khraich, Addison Hagen, Violette Evans.

In our nearly 27 year history, this is the most amount of NMS Semifinalists our school has ever had. These nine students were among the highest scoring entrants on the PSAT/NMSQT, and were selected among 16,000 other semifinalists, representing less than 1% of US high school seniors. Each of them will have the opportunity to continue on in the competition to become finalists and receive a $2,500 scholarship towards their undergraduate education.

This historic achievement reflects what happens when exceptional students are met with exceptional opportunities. Through rigorous academics, exceptional faculty, and a community that believes in their potential, we equip students to dream big and pursue those dreams with purpose.

Our commitment to academic excellence, innovative learning, and individualized student growth prepares young men and women to reach their highest potential, and to pursue the futures they envision for themselves.
